Built in 1904-1906 in the Tudor-Jacobean style of English manor homes, this 36-room home was built for Edward Chandler Walker, the son of the famed distiller Hiram Walker. It was designed by noted Detroit architect Albert Kahn and includes a great hall with an elaborate staircase, a drawing room, a carrara marble fireplace and a butler's pantry with silver sinks.
